What Does This Mean?
A viral clip of a confused, technically-nonsensical question about TikTok and home WiFi asked at a real congressional hearing, used online to mock lawmakers' lack of technical literacy during tech-policy hearings; it saw a major second wave of virality in 2026 when the audio was remixed into songs and cartoon edits.

REAL-WORLD EXAMPLE
"That senator's question was straight-up 'does TikTok connect to the WiFi in my house' energy."
LORE & ORIGIN
Originated from a real March 2023 U.S. House Energy and Commerce Committee hearing where Rep. Richard Hudson asked TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew a garbled question widely paraphrased online as 'does TikTok connect to the WiFi in my house,' which was clipped and mocked by @someguymark and other accounts within days. It resurfaced in a genuine revival in September 2026, when the audio was remixed into a funk song/lyric video and used in Rick and Morty-style animation edits.
