What Does This Mean?
A tongue-in-cheek nickname for a rival or better-known wiki, most often used for Wikipedia by communities on other wikis. In a plainer sense, wiki editors also use the phrase for any different wiki site, as in "copy the template to the other wiki".
REAL-WORLD EXAMPLE
""The other wiki has a longer page on this, but ours has the better plot summary.""
LORE & ORIGIN
Wikipedia's own search results show two uses: a joking name for Wikipedia (the TV Tropes site is cited as using it that way) and a neutral pointer to a second wiki in help pages and noticeboards. A 2022 discussion about a redirect for the phrase includes a commenter saying they had never heard Wikipedia called that, so the nickname is community-specific. No dated first use found yet.
