Bookstagram Examples?
3.8BRAINROT SCOREbookstagram The book community on Instagram, a blend of « book » and « Instagram », where readers (« bookstagrameurs » and « bookstagrameuses ») post staged photos of book stacks, reviews and reading goals under the #bookstagram hashtag. Publishers and bookshops use it to reach readers. It predates BookTok, which does the same on TikTok in video form.
Origin:Livres Hebdo, in an article dated 14 May 2018, describes bookstagram as an amateur but influential community, mostly women, built around the #bookstagram hashtag, with publishers such as Albin Michel and Le Livre de poche and the Mollat bookshop running large accounts and many partnerships paid in free books; some accounts began as blogs. French Wikipedia on BookTok dates the bookstagrammer review wave to about 2019. The difference from BookTok FR is the platform and format: still images and captions rather than short videos.
