What Is 泣いてる犬ミーム?
6.0BRAINROT SCORE泣いてる犬ミーム 泣いてる犬ミーム (naiteru inu meme, "crying dog meme") is a Japanese caption game in which a teary-eyed dog looking at a smartphone, from a short GIF, is paired with the short search phrases the dog might be typing, such as asking why the walk is not every day. Posts often end on a line that shows why the dog is sad, and cat and character versions exist.
Origin:Harada Eigo's slang dictionary says it took off on Japanese X around 9 October 2026, and FOMO² (23 October 2026) found Japanese posts from 30 September and 9 October 2026 using a Tenor GIF titled "Dog Scroll". Sources disagree on the exact source clip and its date, and the first Japanese post has not been identified. It is not the same as the English-language Crying Boston Terrier meme (first TikTok 4 November 2021).
First Seen:2026-09-30 (earliest Japanese X post cited by FOMO²; spread widely from around 9 October 2026)
