What Is Fixed?
3.4BRAINROT SCOREFixed In fandom pairing talk, a shorthand for a ship whose roles or order are treated as set, so one character is always placed in the same position and the reverse arrangement is not welcome. Outside fandom it is only the ordinary English word for something that does not change.
Origin:The idea of set roles in a pairing is described in Wikipedia's article on seme and uke, which says many works assign roles rigidly while others leave them flexible, and that the name order of a ship can itself signal a role order. As a fandom shorthand it is a short common word with no dedicated reference entry found yet, and no dated first use is found yet.
