What Does This Mean?
A meme video template in which picture and/or sound quality visibly degrades in stages labeled '64 bits,' '32 bits,' '16 bits,' and so on, used to comedically depict something getting worse in discrete steps.
REAL-WORLD EXAMPLE
"They made a 64 bits, 32 bits, 16 bits edit of the team's season getting progressively worse."
LORE & ORIGIN
Originates from the Angry Video Game Nerd's (James Rolfe) 2013 'Tiger Electronic Games' video, where he counts down bit-depth numbers as a joke ending on 'the wrist game'; the clip was remixed into a degrading-quality meme template in 2018, then exploded into a fresh viral wave in January 2021.
