What Does This Mean?
Brazilian Portuguese gaming slang for the playable character a person controls, as in "qual boneco você vai jogar?" (which character will you play?). It extends the ordinary word for a doll or figure to a game avatar or champion.
REAL-WORLD EXAMPLE
""Qual boneco você vai pegar na seleção de campeões?", perguntou o amigo."
LORE & ORIGIN
Portuguese Wiktionary lists "boneco" as a masculine noun with several senses (a toy figure, a drawing, a figurative "useless person") and, among them, a video-game sense: a virtual character controlled by a real player or by an algorithm that simulates one. Used in Brazilian game chats for the character a player picks; no dated first use found yet. The figurative sense "useless person" is a separate, pejorative meaning.
