What Does This Mean?
A meme centered on a 3D-modeled green frog riding a unicycle, paired with the catchphrases "here comes dat boi!!" and "o shit waddup," used as an absurdist announcement of someone's arrival.
REAL-WORLD EXAMPLE
"Here come dat boi rolling into the group chat with zero context as usual."
LORE & ORIGIN
The frog graphic originated from the Animation Factory Essential Collection, a stock clip-art library, created by designer Josh Doohen. The catchphrase has a separate lineage: in June 2015, Tumblr user phalania posted "here come dat boi!!" alongside an unrelated Pac-Man image captioned "o shit waddup!"
The two elements combined when, on April 3, 2016, the Facebook page "FreshMemesAbout the Mojave Desert and Other Delectable Cuisines" posted the unicycling frog clip art with the "here come dat boi!!!!!! / o shit waddup!" caption. The combination spread rapidly across Tumblr through spring 2016, which served as the meme's main incubator before it crossed over to mainstream platforms as one of the defining absurdist memes of 2016.
