[ SLANG ]
Colloquial shorthand for DC Inside, one of Korea's largest and most influential online communities, and by extension the distinct culture and slang produced by its many topic-specific 갤러리 (galleries).
REAL-WORLD EXAMPLE
"Half of Korea's internet slang started as an inside joke on DC."
LORE & ORIGIN
DC Inside was founded on October 6, 1999 by Kim Yu-sik as a digital-camera information site (hence 'DC'), but its gallery/community features — including the 엽기 갤러리 (Bizarre Gallery) around 2000-2002 — exploded in popularity and became the site's real draw from the early 2000s onward.
