LORE & ORIGIN
Wikipedia's YouTube Creator Awards article says the Diamond award goes to channels that reach or pass 10 million subscribers, is made of silver-plated metal with a colourless crystal cut in a play-button triangle, and debuted at VidCon 2015 when 35 channels qualified. The next level, the Red Diamond for 100 million subscribers, appeared in YouTube's FAQ by September 2020. The existing entries on Silver and Gold Play Buttons sit alongside it.
