What Does This Mean?
A block of repeated or stacked emotes filling a live chat, usually sent together by many viewers to react to a moment. Separately, the same name is used for a stream overlay widget that shows chat emotes on screen as viewers send them.
REAL-WORLD EXAMPLE
""After the clutch play, chat posted an emote wall of laughing faces that scrolled for ten seconds.""
LORE & ORIGIN
Streamlabs sells an Emote Wall widget that overlays emotes from Twitch chat onto a stream, with settings for duration, scale and ignoring duplicates. Chat tools address the spam side: Moobot's emote filter removes messages with an excessive number of emotes, with a default limit of 12 per message, and Twitch's AutoMod coverage mentions blocking emote spam and combinations.
