What Does This Mean?
In Spanish-speaking MSN culture, your visible status: the availability setting (available, away, busy) plus the custom phrase shown next to your name.
REAL-WORLD EXAMPLE
"I'm putting my MSN status on busy so nobody sends me zumbidos."
LORE & ORIGIN
Spanish-language retrospectives (Valencia Plaza, Genbeta, Xataka Android) recall that MSN Messenger showed an availability status (disponible, ausente, ocupado) and that users added a custom phrase, often a song lyric or an activity note such as "comiendo". Note: "estado del MSN" is a descriptive phrase rather than a fixed slang coinage; no dated first use was found. It overlaps with "subnick" (the phrase part) and is distinct as the availability signal people used to avoid or invite conversation.
