What Does This Mean?

[ SLANG ][ MULTILINGUAL NATIVE ]

Term borrowed unchanged from English by Brazilian players for someone who dies repeatedly in a match and so hands the opposing team kills, gold and experience, as in "o nosso top é feeder". It is a derogatory label, whether the deaths are intentional or the result of weak play.

REAL-WORLD EXAMPLE

""O nosso top é feeder, já morreu seis vezes", reclamou o jogador."

LORE & ORIGIN

From the English gaming noun "feeder". English Wiktionary defines it as a derogatory term for a player whose character is killed more than once by the opposing side, giving the other team an advantage, and says this can be deliberate or due to lack of skill. The Mais Esports League of Legends glossary lists "feeder" in Portuguese as players who die a lot and make the enemies stronger. No dated first use in Portuguese is documented. The verb feedar is a separate entry.
