What Does This Mean?
[ GAMING ][ DEGEN ECONOMY ]
An intensified version of "carry," describing a single player forcibly winning a match almost entirely through their own performance despite a struggling or underperforming team.
REAL-WORLD EXAMPLE
"He hard carried that entire match, the rest of the team barely contributed."
LORE & ORIGIN
Grew directly out of "carry" within competitive gaming vocabulary, adding the "hard" intensifier to distinguish an especially dominant, single-handed win from a more modest team-assisted carry.
