LORE & ORIGIN
A nonsensical acronym parody, with the earliest known use on the Something Awful forums in 2001, an Urban Dictionary entry submitted in January 2004 and featured as word of the day in September 2007. It spread through the machinima series Arby 'n the Chief, a Team Fortress 2 achievement, LOLcat image macros and demotivational posters. Wiktionary lists Usenet quotations from 2001, 2005 and 2007.
