What Does This Mean?
Continuing to view someone's social media activity and occasionally like or view their content without ever directly messaging or engaging with them, maintaining passive digital presence in their life without real contact.
REAL-WORLD EXAMPLE
"He stopped replying months ago but still likes every single one of my posts, total orbiting behavior."
LORE & ORIGIN
Coined in the late 2010s to name a distinct behavior pattern platforms made newly visible — someone who stopped texting entirely but was clearly still watching stories and liking posts, orbiting a person's digital presence without ever making direct contact.
