What Does This Mean?

[ SLANG ][ MULTILINGUAL NATIVE ]

Gamer term, used as-is in Brazilian Portuguese, for a group of players who enter a match already formed (friends or a team in a party) instead of being assembled at random by matchmaking. A premade is usually seen as having an advantage through coordination, and complaints about facing a premade are common in ranked queues.

REAL-WORLD EXAMPLE

""Caímos contra um premade de cinco, não deu pra fazer nada.""

LORE & ORIGIN

From the English "premade". The Wowpedia entry defines a premade as a group of players assembled for the express purpose of effective play in a battleground, and notes the advantage of coordination over randomly assembled teams. Wikipedia (Matchmaking in video games) describes parties as groups of players treated as a single entity by matchmaking. The pages opened do not date the Brazilian usage.
