What Does This Mean?
Brazilian Portuguese gaming verb meaning to rush: to charge quickly and aggressively at an opponent or objective.
REAL-WORLD EXAMPLE
"Vamos rushar o ponto antes que eles se organizem."
LORE & ORIGIN
Hybrid anglicism: English "rush" plus the Portuguese infinitive ending -ar. Portuguese Wiktionary has an entry for "rushar" (last edited December 2022) glossing it as rushing forward quickly and aggressively at an opponent, with usage examples from games such as Battlefield V, Overwatch 2 and Free Fire, plus a 2017 football article using it playfully. A 2009 Brazilian CS glossary already lists the noun "rush" (attacking the enemy quickly, at point-blank range) but not the verb. The first use of "rushar" is not documented.
