What Does This Mean?
Brazilian Portuguese Counter-Strike slang for being killed by a shot through objects such as walls, doors or boxes (a wallbang kill).
REAL-WORLD EXAMPLE
"Eu estava atrás da caixa e fui varado pelo AWP."
LORE & ORIGIN
A 2009 Brazilian blog glossary of CS language defines "varado" as the term used when one player kills another by shooting through objects such as walls, doors and boxes. The word is the ordinary Portuguese participle of "varar" (to pierce through; Dicio lists "pierced from end to end" among its senses), here applied to the player hit through cover, so the gaming sense appears to extend that meaning. It parallels English "wallbang" (existing entry) but is an independent Portuguese word. Its exact origin date is not documented.
