What Does This Mean?
A body of officially-sanctioned short-form vertical video content that becomes accepted as part of a franchise's canon, distinct from the franchise's primary film/show canon by existing specifically in the short-form format.
REAL-WORLD EXAMPLE
"That short-form series is officially vertical canon now, it actually affects the main show's timeline."
LORE & ORIGIN
Named directly within franchise short-video discourse as vertical-format spinoff content grew substantial and consistent enough with the source material to be treated as genuinely canonical rather than throwaway promotional content.
