What Does This Mean?

[ SLANG ][ ENGLISH DAILY ]
FORCE: Gen Z BrainrotUNIVERSE: VineCLUSTER: vine_culture

A person who made and posted videos on Vine, the six-second looping video app, and especially one who became well known for it. Now mostly historical; many Viners moved to YouTube after the app closed.

REAL-WORLD EXAMPLE

""Half of today's YouTubers started out as Viners, back when six seconds was enough to make you famous.""

LORE & ORIGIN

Wikipedia states that Vine launched on 24 January 2013 with six-second looping clips and was shut down by Twitter on 17 January 2017, after which many prominent users, including Lele Pons, Logan Paul and Liza Koshy, moved to YouTube. Wiktionary lists "Viner" as a historical noun for a user of the service. The term names the creator, not the famous status (see Vine Famous) or the sound effect (see Vine Boom).
