顎クイ (agokui, "chin flick") is the Japanese name for a romantic gesture in which one person places a hand under the other's chin and gently lifts it, turning that face toward their own. It is typically shown in shojo romance manga, where a handsome male character approaches the heroine.

REAL-WORLD EXAMPLE

""In the manga the senior student gave her an 顎クイ and said her name, and the scene was widely clipped on social media.""

LORE & ORIGIN

Weblio describes 顎クイ as a gesture of placing a hand on the other person's chin and lightly pulling it up (the クイッ sound) so the face turns toward oneself, and lists it as a derivative of 壁ドン. The same page cites an October 2014 Modelpress article that suggested 顎クイ might become the next trend after 壁ドン, and a December 2014 Sankei News article that discussed it as the successor, noting it was seen as appealing mainly when the man is attractive. No coiner or first use is named. The existing kabedon entry covers the wall-pin gesture; this entry is the chin-lifting one.
