What Does This Mean?
Korean internet label for a person who often says they feel uncomfortable with, or offended by, a post, joke or remark. It is mostly used by others about such a person and is usually derogatory or contested. This clipped form 불편러 (literally "uncomfortable-er") is the shorter variant of the existing, more widely cited 프로불편러.
REAL-WORLD EXAMPLE
"When one commenter objected to a joke, another replied that the thread did not need a "불편러.""
LORE & ORIGIN
불편러 combines 불편 (discomfort, inconvenience) with the agent suffix -러, the same pattern as in other Korean internet labels. It is a shortened form of 프로불편러 (a "professional" complainer), which is documented as a derogatory or contested label. No source found gives a dated first use of the short form 불편러 itself. The label is applied to a type of online behaviour; critics of the label say it is used to dismiss legitimate objections, so it should be read as a characterisation by others rather than a neutral description.
