What Does This Mean?
Short for ブロック解除 ("block, then unblock"): blocking another account and immediately unblocking it so that the follow relationship between the two is removed without a visible unfollow. Used as a noun or verb (ブロ解する, ブロ解された).
REAL-WORLD EXAMPLE
""I got ブロ解ed by someone I used to chat with; we suddenly stopped following each other.""
LORE & ORIGIN
A clipping of ブロック (block) and 解除 (release). On X (formerly Twitter) and similar services, blocking removes the follow relationship in both directions and unblocking does not restore it, so the sequence is used to quietly cut a connection. Japanese media explain it as distinct from リムる (removing someone only from one's own followers) because neither account follows the other afterwards. The platform does not notify the blocked person, though they may notice that the relationship has disappeared. X has since added a separate remove-follower function. The first documented use is not known.
