What Does This Mean?
Humorous internet word imitating a trumpet sound, tied to skeleton trumpet memes, and, per Wiktionary, a joke respelling of "vote" (noun and verb) seen in updoot and downdoot.
REAL-WORLD EXAMPLE
""Skeleton at the door going doot doot, and the whole thread joined in.""
LORE & ORIGIN
Wiktionary records "doot" as humorous internet slang for a vote and notes its etymology is incomplete and lacks durable citations. Know Your Meme lists the skeleton trumpet meme as a related entry and dates the song "Spooky Scary Skeletons" (the track often paired with skeleton memes) to 1996, with an animated video on October 20, 2007; no first use of the sound word itself is documented.
