What Does This Mean?
Net users who edit matome ("roundup") blogs and aggregation sites, that is, the people who select posts from message boards or social media and arrange them into summary articles. It refers to the people doing the compiling, whereas "matome" refers to the roundup itself.
REAL-WORLD EXAMPLE
"The matome-min picked the funniest ten replies and turned the whole thread into one article."
LORE & ORIGIN
Compound of まとめ (roundup) and 民 (-min, "folk", as in ネット民 "net folk"). A community-written definition on the former Hatena Keyword service describes it as a net user who edits matome blogs. Matome sites commonly draw their material from message-board threads such as those on 2channel, and the relationship between those sites and board users has been a recurring source of conflict in Japanese coverage. The first use of まとめ民 is not documented.
