What Does This Mean?
A meme built on an AI-generated video of a sinister Rumpelstiltskin dancing around a frightened woman in a straw-filled barn, styled like a 1980s fantasy film. Creators reuse the clip with new captions, swap characters in, or have AI tools place themselves in the scene.

REAL-WORLD EXAMPLE
""Me doing the Rumpelstiltskin dance when the group chat goes quiet.""
LORE & ORIGIN
The Arabian Post reported on October 10, 2026 that the clip was first posted on Instagram on August 27, 2026 by accounts run by Stroinaya, Neuroferma and Anna Glinskaya, to show how generative AI could recreate the look of 1980s fantasy films. It went viral after a TikTok user paired the dance with a 2014 Riff Raff song on September 29, then spread across TikTok, Instagram and X. The corpus entry rumpelstiltskin-tiptoe covers the same clip under its song-based name.
