What Does This Mean?

[ SLANG ][ MULTILINGUAL NATIVE ]

Gaming callout from Counter-Strike, used by Brazilian Portuguese-speaking players as well: in the bomb-defusal mode, "rush B" means the whole team charges at bomb site B at once. The phrase became a meme as a joke about an obvious, uncoordinated all-in push, and it is used in chat and in jokes whenever a group simply runs in together. Know Your Meme records it as a label that also mocked Russian and other Slavic players, which is why the English form often appears as "rush B cyka".

LORE & ORIGIN

From the Counter-Strike bomb-site callout. Know Your Meme says the exact origin is unknown and gives the earliest known use as a YouTube video titled "Counter Strike;Source rush B (GameArmy) Russian server", posted on 11 Aug 2010; it adds a parody song posted on 23 Nov 2015, an Urban Dictionary definition from May 2016, and its own entry created on 1 Oct 2016. Brazilian sources opened document the broader gamer verb "rushar" (esports.net/br, 29 Aug 2024: advancing as fast as possible toward an objective), and a Portuguese-language CS2 meme article (skin.club, 2 May 2024) describes "Rush B, My Friends" as a tactical joke whose default answer to doubt is "Rush B!". No page opened gives a dated first use of the phrase in Brazil.
