REAL-WORLD EXAMPLE
""The shelter's feed is nothing but doggo photos and one very smug pupper.""
LORE & ORIGIN
The meme use traces to 2014-2017: a Facebook page called Ding de la Doggo in May 2014, the /r/doggos subreddit in June 2015, a 2016 copypasta distinguishing doggo from pupper by size, and Merriam-Webster putting it on its words-we're-watching list in December 2017. Wiktionary builds it from dog plus the suffix -o and cites uses from 2018 on.
