What Does This Mean?
Korean fandom and online slang for returning to "real life" (현생, from 현실 생활) after a stretch of absorption in fandom activity or online life, such as a comeback, concert or heavy social-media use. It is usually said half-jokingly or ruefully.
REAL-WORLD EXAMPLE
"After the comeback week ended, she posted "현생복귀" and went back to her exam prep."
LORE & ORIGIN
현생복귀 joins 현생, a clipping of 현실 생활 ("real life", meaning study, work and daily duties outside the fandom), with 복귀 ("return"). No source found defines 현생복귀 or dates its first use, and the sources opened did not cover the term, so this entry rests on the transparent meaning of its parts and general fandom usage. The related terms 덕질 and 탈덕 have their own entries.
