What Does This Mean?
Vulgar Korean gaming slang for grabbing the kill on an enemy that teammates have already weakened, or for a player who puts their own kill count ahead of the team's win. The label is crude and is used to criticise selfish play; because credit for a kill differs by game, the term is sometimes applied unfairly. The English counterpart is kill stealing (KS).
REAL-WORLD EXAMPLE
"He waited behind the wall and took the last hit on every fight, so the team called him a 킬딸 for the whole match."
LORE & ORIGIN
Namuwiki states the word comes from a vulgar sexual slang expression attached to 킬 (kill), and flags it as profanity. It says the same behaviour is called Kill Steal or vulture abroad, and that it is most disputed in games whose rewards are built around kills. No first-use date appears in the source opened.
