"I want/hope for [X]," used in the pattern "[X]キボンヌ."
REAL-WORLD EXAMPLE
"Sequel kibonnu, honestly."
LORE & ORIGIN
Not simply an abbreviation of 希望 (kibou, "wish") — the real origin is a pun on Yvonne Kanazawa (金沢イボンヌ), a real Japanese 100m-hurdles Olympic athlete at the Sydney 2000 Olympics, whose unusual name "Yvonne" (イボンヌ) made a strong impression on 2channel board users, who punned it together with 希望 to form キボンヌ. Derivative puns followed the same pattern, like シボンヌ (dying, punning on 死ぬ) and ショボンヌ (dejected, punning on しょんぼり). It is now thoroughly 死語 — one source ranked it #1 in a 2011 "dead slang" ranking.
